fall foraging + qi gong class

Celebrate fall by getting outside and learning how to forage! In this workshop you will learn how to identify different wild edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms that grow in the fall. We will learn about fall edibles such as hickory nuts, New England aster, sumac, resinous polypore, and hedgehog mushrooms. Learn what mother earth has to offer for food, medicine, and more...

Class will begin with opening Qi gong exercises to help us get grounded and connected to the earth!

There will be a 45-minute lecture portion where you will learn how to positively ID plant and mushroom species and differentiate from any possible look-a-likes. We will then go on a 45 minute walk to practice plant and mushroom ID.

This is a collaborative workshop with Erik Harris, founder of Chi for Healing, and Amy of the CT Foraging club.
